Anna “Ann or Annie” (nee DiCola) Savini, 92, of Secane, PA, passed away on March 26 in Hatboro, PA.
Anna was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Anthony DiCola and Marie McAnany on January 10, 1932. She worked as a Grocery Clerk at the Swarthmore CO-OP for over 30 years. She enjoyed coffee, reading, doing puzzles, watching scary movies, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Anna is survived by her sisters Shirley Rubino of Broomall PA and Mary “Mimi” Amadio of Philadelphia PA, her brother Anthony “Tony” Mozzo of Ridley, PA; Her children Salvatore Jr (Vona) of Las Vegas NV, Anthony (Donna) of Milton DE, Michael of Drexel Hill PA, John of Las Vegas NV, Marie Stroud (Ray) of Berlin MD, Anna of Seaford DE and Carla (Richard Dutill) of Hatboro PA. She is also survived by 16 Grandchildren, 17 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great grandchild as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends who are considered family.
Anna is preceded in death by her beloved husband Salvatore Savini, Sr., sisters Doris “Sissy” Wilcox, Lucy “Lulu” Charles, and brothers Arthur “Chubby” DiCola, and Harry McElroy.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation Wednesday, April 3rd at 12:00PM at O’Leary Funeral Home 640 E Springfield Rd, Springfield PA 19064 and to her Funeral Services 1:00PM in the Funeral Home. Interment will be at a later date in Saint Peter and Paul Cemetery. Anna requested that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to Philabundance at 3616 S Galloway St, Philadelphia PA 19148 or www.Philabundance.org so that one less child would go to bed hungry.
